This week's menu is live! We are continuing our preorder and pickups or delivery for Friday and Saturday.

We are working on getting all our safety measures in line to be ready for some walk in service starting first weekend in June as long as phase 2 has started. We will add days and hours slowly as things progress.

Week 6 Stay Home Menu

Wow, you guys are amazing!!! Thank you for making Mother’s Day week a huge success with all your orders!! We appreciate your continued support to keep things going here at Sweet Life Cakery!

Last week was a bit quieter so we took advantage of the time and did some deep cleaning in our baking kitchen. It felt so good to get some more things organized that have been on the to do list for awhile now. Have you been tackling those projects that you have been putting off?

We also had some time to test out some new recipes which will start to make their debut on this week’s menu. We are starting to think about when we can start to open back up for walk-in purchases. Stay tuned to social media for the latest.

Stay Home Menu-Mother's Day Edition

Next Sunday, May 10th is Mother’s Day! How will you celebrate the Queen of Your Castle or that “Mom” in your life? Let us help you show your appreciation, especially right now, for all that Mom does.

Here’s our Stay Home Menu- Mother’s Day edition. Spoil Mom with breakfast or brunch with a quiche and scones so she doesn’t have to lift a finger! You just add the drinks, maybe some fresh fruit and Mom will be so happy! Or maybe Mom would enjoy a special cake celebrating just her! Choose one of the featured flavors and we will make it all pretty with some fresh spring garden flowers. Does Mom prefer pie over cake? No problem. We have our Mixed Berry and my Mom’s Best Rhubarb Custard Pie, so yummy! Whichever option you choose to celebrate we continue to have curbside pickup or FREE contactless delivery to Kingston, Hansville, Indianloa and Port Gamble.

In addition to our Stay Home Menus we continue to take Birthday Cake Orders. We make our cakes to order so please allow a minimum of 5-7 days for placing your order.. Highly decorated custom cakes will require a minimum of 7-14 days and depend on availability.

Week 2- STAY HOME Sweet Treats- Curbside Pickup or Delivery

Thank you to everyone who ordered last week and made it successful enough so we could offer it again this week!! We appreciate your continued support during this time. Here’s the menu with some changes for this week with pick up/ delivery days on Friday April 3rd and Saturday April 4th.

Please call 206-399-9748 (M-W, 9-5pm) to place orders by 10AM Wednesday for Friday and 10AM Thursday for Saturday. Wishing everyone peace and good health!

STAY HOME Sweet Treats- Curbside Pickup or Delivery

As you are probably aware, our Governor has issued a "Stay Home, Stay Healthy" order that requires all Washington residents to stay home. I have been extremely conflicted on what is the best and right thing to do for my customers, community, myself, my employee and my business. It is a difficult choice between trying to do what I can to keep my business alive and doing what I can do to help keep others alive! With restaurants and food establishments being listed as an essential service by the Governor's proclamation and to honor the intent of this order and to help limit the potential spread of COVID-19, we are limiting operations to Curbside Pickup and Home Delivery only. Our retail store will be closed to all in-store customers through at least Tuesday, April 7th.

This week will be a trial to see how it goes. If we do not get enough orders to warrant turning on the oven and paying ourselves than we will make the choice to cease operations until the Stay Home Order is lifted.

Please see our offerings below. Our free delivery area will cover Kingston, Indianola, Hansville and Port Gamble. If you are interested in ordering for delivery to any first-responder locations (ie: fire and rescue, nurses, doctors) or child/elder care facilities please call them ahead to confirm they will accept a delivery.

2018 Wedding Season is full!!

Wow, it's been busy these past few months meeting with couples for the 2018 wedding season! It's always exciting to see our calendar fill up and an honor for our services to be chosen as part of such a big moment in people's lives. Being a boutique cake shop means we can't take every wedding or special event that comes our way. We appreciate those who contacted us early and we're sorry to those we did not have space for. 

For those planning for 2019, while you are here take a look around our new website to see our menus. We also have new Wedding and Special Event brochures available in our Cottage Cakery storefront. If you are planning for a July or August 2019 wedding we recommend setting up a tasting consultation with us in September or October.

Join us for our 2nd Annual Mother’s Day Tea! We make our Cottage Tea a little extra special for celebrating Mom. Saturday, May 12th with seatings at 11am and 1pm. Reservations required by 5pm Thursday, May 10th.

A Special 50th Birthday Cake

Our Golden Vanilla Cake is a rich moist butter cake made with egg yolks, butter and sour cream. We use Shepard's Grain (sustainable & nonGMO) cake flour which gives it a finely textured crumb. Here it is filled with fresh strawberries and lightly sweetened whip cream.
